My friend Gary has been asking me for this recipe so I thought I would post and share with you all.
Rub: 2 Tbs salt; 2 Tbs ground pepper; 2 Tbs Chili powder; 1 Tbs garlic powder; 2 tsp ground coriander; 2 tsp ground mustard seed.
5 lb pork butt (also known as shoulder or picnic)
For the pan: 12 oz Apple cider (beer could be used here is you wish); 4 cloves of garlic, chopped.
Sauce: 1/2 cup ketchup (we use natural or One carb); 2 Tbs whole grain mustard (Dijon, too); 3 Tbs Worcestershire sauce; 1/3 Cup dark brown sugar
Combine all the rub ingredients; cut off skin and excess fat from pork (don't worry, there is plenty of fat in this cut to keep it moist); rub the mixture all over the pork and wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 h (if not up to 24); Preheat oven to 500 degrees (F); remove pork from wrap and place center of a roasting pan with 2" sides; place in oven and roast for 45 minutes until darkly brown all over (it will smoke when you open the oven); remove ...
A few shots from this season....and now it has passed before more were added. Oh well, next year!
Too funny not to share!
This is our home in the
It is really difficult to find the right pics for this song.....Cowboy could whip one up really fast I know....but this is the song I thought Moose was going to play!
OK, I saw this through another group and thought it very appropriate for my friends. Gary, do not watch this as you will become nauseated (you are so sensitive). To my friend, Brian, I had such a nice weekend that I hope you do not mind that I share!
I borrowed this from Michael's site....after seeing it there and also on another site. I love the energy.....not to mention the eye-candy! LOL.
These are shots that I took with my phone so they are not the best quality. There will be others when the E-man loads his from the cam. Enjoy...I'll write a blog
We returned form the annual sojourn to P-town....the wonderful place at the "end of the world"....OK, just the very tip of Cape Cod. A great place for natural beauty, there is a National Seashore Park system on the eastern side of the Cape up to and including P-town and a nice Rail-to-Trail system (22 miles in length) on the western side, from Wellfleet to Dennis. There are several beaches from the sheltered harbor that is Provincetown proper (Massachussetts Bay) to the ouside of the "arm" that borders the Atlantic (Herring Cove and Race Point beaches). There are lots of art galleries and great places to dine.....not to mention the daily Tea dance at the infamous Boatslip!
We always rent our own place deep in the West end.....quieter section down on the end of commercial street... and have another group of friends that come up so it is a nice small gropu of good friends. We had really fantastic meals at the Mews, Jimmy's Hideaway, The Red Inn a...
Thanks to my friend, Moose, for finding this delightful reminder about ourselves and the Universe. I hope to make a better attempt to live with this intent....and I find these words to be particularly helpful in the challenging times I have been facing lately.
Link This video was way too funny. This one knows how to MOVE! Thanks, Gary!!
Now the CD version of this song is more polished and tight, but this version is funny (I think) and gives you the correct impression of the CD single. It is an excuse *I* never thought to

On November 7, 2008, at 9:45 am, the 500 people attending the Alliance for a New Humanity Human Forum in Barcelona took a vow for non violence in their thoughts, speech and actions. Each person decided to ask other people in their lives to join them in taking the vow. The goal then became to create a global movement, which would mobilize 100 million people to make the same commitment. We, at the Alliance for a New Humanity believe that if a critical mass
of people comitt to this vow, that world would be transformed. If you are seriously commited to peace, join us in this global movement and take the vow.
Love,
Deepak Chopra
President and Founder of the Alliance For A New Humanity

Thank you, Richard, for enlightening me today.
This was a good watch...I also really liked the song "Do U Damage" by The Specimen Didn't like the music video so much so I found the trailer for the film. We have used the song in several of our Spin mixes...it is fitting! :-)

(OK, I needed to go back up and put this up front and center or it was going to get lost): I hope that you all have a safe and wonderous Holiday Season, one that is healing in however you need and validating to your soul.
As usual, this is an incredibly hectic time of the year....trying to get things delivered, see friends, do things with co-workers, get the house decorated and clean...oh yeah, and maintain the normal schedule because all THAT stuff is critical to the daily function of life as we know it. :-) I enjoy the computer time when I make time for it, when it demands it of me or draws me in like a drug (that NEVER happens! LOL). There are too many social networks out there that seem like the right thing to do at the time, but then they need your attention..and others gather cob-webs, or just get less visits. I am working on sorting that all out.
It is snowing again here today, adding to the 10+" we got on Friday. I am debating whether I need to lop off the hemlock branch ...
Some shots from the Bentgreenbow Inn at Christmas time. We have had snow and a minor crisis in the driveway. The tree is up and we are proudly displaying our Moose!!!! Merry Christmas and Happy New
The Survey of 2008
All the following questions pertain ONLY to your life in 2008.
If a question isn't pertinent, just leave it blank.
If an answer is a really juicy tidbit but you don't want it made public, just email me with all the details! Quickly!
Where did you begin 2008? Living in Norwich, CT with my husband (civilly unionized for 3 years, together for 12) and working as a laboratory supervisor for Pfizer, INC in Groton, CT.
What was your status by Valentines Day? Still married.....and am today. Were you in school anytime this year? No. Did you have to go to the hospital? I fortunately did not have to go to the hospital this year.
Did you have any encounters with the police? Not personally, though there was an incident across the street where the police were doing SWAT-type maneuvers and were after a person(s) with a gun(s). There were dogs and flashlights ad lots of orders being barked. Turns out that the neighbor kids were out playing evening commando/paintball and told no ...
This was in the CD player in the car coming back from lunch....made us dance in the car....she has a great set of
Another from the fun diva.....this was in my Spin class mix this AM. Great motivating song. Can you tell she originated her career in Vegas?
I am in this kind of mood these days....the transition has me in a funky space...but I love the Dalmation..and relate totally. I hope you enjoy...another one of my favorite bands....especially when I need to do home improvement projects...like I should now..getting the home office done.

6. IF YOU WERE ANOTHER PERSON, WOULD YOU BE FRIENDS WITH YOU?

One of my favorite Dilbert's....animated (the first part). I hope you
This is a song that was in my head this morning. I thought I would share it with you
